Too Cool Too Care is New Boyz’ new second album. I must admit I did not expect it to be this impressive – I love almost all of the songs on the album. I previously posted their first single from the album, Backseat, which is a great dance track produced by the Cataracs but I’m going to post another two of their new songs because there’s a lot to choose from! New Boyz have gone from a different angle with this album and have touched base with other genres besides hip-hop such as rock which you can find in the tracks Tough Kids ft. Sabi and I Don’t Care ft. Big Sean. I have posted the track I Don’t Care and along with another one Active Kingz ft. Tyga, which are both available to download. I love I Don’t Care mostly because the backing track is from the song Heads Will Roll by Yeah Yeah Yeahs which I am a big fan of. I think they’ve made it work and I love it when artists mix hip-hop and rock to show that they can work and are actually not always that different. Active Kingz is just a traditional catchy hip-hop track just as you would expect from New Boyz, along with Tyga who is beginning to make his mark on the hip-hop scene. Have to say New Boyz’ lyrics are usually pretty skanky but who cares – the music’s good.
